The Way Forward is leading a pilot initiative in Southwest Iowa designed to demonstrate how coordinated leadership, strategic access, and capital alignment can transform rural regions into competitive hubs for advanced industry.
The Heartland Corridor – Rural Industrial Transformation Coalition (RITC) brings together local governments, workforce organizations, educational institutions, infrastructure partners, and private industry to create a unified regional development system capable of attracting advanced manufacturing, data infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
This pilot project serves as the first prototype for a scalable rural industrial transformation model that can be implemented in rural regions across the United States.
